L'omission de l'article avec les professions n'est pas simplement une question de grammaire — cela reflète comment le métier est perçu. 'Ich bin Lehrerin' dit ce que vous êtes, pas que vous êtes un exemple d'une catégorie. L'allemand étend la même logique à la nationalité et à la religion : Ich bin Deutsche, Ich bin Katholikin. Si vous entendez un locuteur allemand dire 'je suis un enseignant' avec un léger accent sur le 'un', c'est pourquoi.

Usually by saying nothing: Ich kaufe Äpfel. If you need to stress the quantity you can use einige or ein paar, but the bare plural is the normal form.

German treats the profession as a description of what you are rather than a category you belong to. Ich bin Arzt, not Ich bin ein Arzt. Same for nationalities.
