How to learn this set
Notice that the storage furniture splits cleanly by gender: der Kleiderschrank and der Nachttisch are both der, while die Kommode and die Schublade (the drawer inside it) are both die. Drill Schublade together with Kommode as a pair, since a Kommode is essentially defined by its Schubladen. For der Vorhang and der Wecker, picture them by their function in the room, the curtain blocks light and the clock ends sleep, since neither shares a root with an English cognate that would help you remember it.

Is Bett masculine or neuter in German?
Neuter: das Bett. It's a common mistake to guess der Bett because so many other pieces of furniture in this set (der Kleiderschrank, der Nachttisch, der Wecker) are masculine, but Bett itself is das.
What is the difference between Decke and Bettwäsche?
Bettwäsche is the whole set of bed linen (sheets, pillowcases, duvet cover), while a Decke is specifically the blanket or duvet itself. If someone tells you to change the Bettwäsche, they mean the whole set, not just one blanket.
Why does German have a separate word for cradle instead of just a small Bett?
Die Wiege names an object with its own shape and function, a rocking baby bed, not just a smaller version of das Bett. German tends to give distinct everyday objects their own noun rather than relying on adjectives, which is why it stands apart from Bett in this set.
